New Year’s Eve is always good hating material. There was an article in the Guardian that gave advice for dealing with it and #23 was “remember, it’s okay to cry. ” Love it.

I’ve been with a bra I’ve had since 6th grade. It’s falling apart and the only reason it still fits is because it’s held together by 30 percent of its seams, but I still wear it to bed sometimes. That could be a metaphor for marriage.

I am trying to imagine what picture (or paired, juxtaposed pictures) would fit one of those black-boardered posters (you know, of the “Motivational” variety) with the caption “WET SOCKS” in bold atop the smaller font-ed “worse than rape.”

I enjoyed this, even though I’m taking your word for a lot of it, because I haven’t watched a RomCom in like 15 years.

Also, “I like my dog a lot better than anyone I’ve ever dated,” is actually not past tense, but present perfect, so it could include current romantic entanglements as well.

It has come to Our attention that We may have mistakenly led You to believe that we would like to publish Your poem, “The KFC in Waterford, MS.” Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that the nearest KFC to Waterford, while only 7.8 miles away, is actually in the town of Holly Springs, MS. We cannot be sure if this is You using poetic license to make some commentary regarding Waterford’s lack of chain chicken, or just plain ingnorance on your part; We have elected to play it safe and not publish Your poem. One or two of Our readers is rumored to reside in Waterford. We encourage You to write a poem about the KFC in Holly Springs, and would consider publishing it once we determine it does in fact take place in the South.
