Dear Zoo,
You fill me with joy.
Also, potentially, with tired feet and hopefully, sticky fingers from something disgusting to eat like cotton candy. Maybe rage when the little kids won’t get out of my way to let me see the pandas.
So the thing about the San Diego zoo is they tell you it’s too big to walk around and then make you wait in a giant wooden structure that looks a lot like the playground at my elementary school before they decided that little kids shouldn’t have the opportunity to jump off essentially a three-story building. Then they pack you onto buses and drive you around. And you can’t see anything because you’re on a bus so you can’t get even near a crowded fence.
I am always surprised, however, at how clear the gate is around the flamingos. Their knees! They bend backwards! Is that not the craziest thing you’ve ever heard???
I thought so.

Dear San Diego Zoo,
You cost $37. The line for tacos is 40 minutes long. I didn’t see the pandas because the line is extremely long.
The camel is fantastic. So is the baby giraffe. And the snakes
Dear San Diego Zoo,
$45 for an annual pass to both the zoo and the wild animal park. The line to see the pandas was less than 3 minutes long. There is a baby panda and he was sleeping in a tree where we could see him. The sloth bear came running over to see us and made faces at us for ten minutes. There were at least three koala babies. The tigers went in circles and looked at us. The turtles were mating. The otter played with his ball, spinning in circles and scratching. The giraffes tried to eat shrubs near our heads. I ate frozen lemonade and popcorn.
loooooooooooooooooove, mm
also! did you know giraffes back leg knees bend backwards? and their front knees bend normal-wards?
THINK ABOUT THE DANCE MOVE POTENTIAL.
go low, go low, go low!
which way do they do the moonwalk then? i can’t decide.
convincing post/review/plug : )
